Glycerol

Crude glycerol is a liquid byproduct of biodiesel production, obtained by transesterification of fatty acids. The basic raw material used in the production are vegetable oils, while UCO (used cooking oil) can be used as well.

Crude glycerol is produced by Rossi in Komárom, Hungary. In the production process potassium methylate is used as catalyst.
Glycerol has a wide range of applications - it is used in biogas plants, in chemical and construction industries, etc.
